Sailor – arrived August 2014

Here we followed the progress of our Sailor, a border collie who has spent much of his life on a chain. See the transformation that took place during his first day in care with WBR below. You can click on the photos for a larger view.

7 August – the “before” photos!

sailor 7 aug dreadlocksSailor arrived with dreadlocks so a very good bath and an encounter with the clippers is the first job.

Luckily Sailor’s foster family are experienced dog groomers – what a great match!

Despite this, he is showing undeniable signs of happiness.

Well, hello Sailor! Sailor’s makeover is complete and he is officially handsome.

He looks a million bucks – thanks to the wonderful work of his WBR foster carers.

12 August

sailor at vet aug 12Sailor was off to the vet today for a check up and desexing. His carers tell us he was unimpressed with the cone he had to wear home after the surgery.

14 August

Sailor isn’t going anywhere. He is another WBR rescue dog who found his forever home with his foster carer. Sailor, who had spent most of his life on a chain, now enjoys life with other dogs, a large yard to explore freely and regular expert grooming.
